Cave Story 21: Operation Saving-Balrog"Balrog! Balrog?" Curly stared, wide eyed, at the motionless grey soap bar. She banged on the iron bars, her mind clouded with so much desperation she could not think straight.Quote felt himself getting colder for some reason, and he took out the Spur and prepared to charge up to shoot at the cage. The strange thing is, he seemed to be aiming straight at Balrog."WAIT!" Curly pushed the gun down. Quote stared at her. "you're aiming the wrong way!"Curly then thought she heard a bit of thumping coming from one of the cupboards, but she dismissed it as one of her malfunctioning hearing sensors.Quote ignored her warnings, and charged up his spur, before he released the trigger at his friend..."QUOTE!!" Curly screamed, and the lazer broke the iron bars, and straight at the unconscious Balrog. Curly watched in horror as the lazer shot Balrog, and he exploded into pieces.Curly felt her head getting more heated up, as she glared at Quote. "YOU... YOU TRAITOR!" she wanted to pick her machi
Cave Story 19: on the wayJonah clasped his baton tightly as he strolled around the hallway, pulling his sleeves uncomfortably from his blue uniform. He was a tad tired, but he knew that it would be hours before the next person takes over him. The same questions had played in his head like a player on repeat; for god's sake, why the hell would a doctor need a hell lot of bodyguards at the entrance of his office?Jonah sighed; it's not as if anyone... or anything would want to hurt people like that. There were laws and rules that restricted those activities; and everyone had already known that.He then refused to exhaust his brain to think any further; answers would only fill his hunger from curiosity, it won't bring food on his plate."Excuse me!" a female, slightly mechanical voice rang in his ears, and in an instant, two security guards swerved past him. He rubbed his eyes and looked again; they had both white skin... no, not Canadian skin, but skin literally as white as snow.In an instinct, he yelled
Cave Story 10: unknown haven'Painful...' was the only thought that was in Quote's mind.He slowly opened his eyes, and stared at the white of the fluroscent lights with his mechanical eyes. His whole body was stiff, except for his eyes. His pupils darted around the strange room he had gotten into. What was he doing before that?...... He was fighting a doctor...... ... Curly was captured...... ... ... He shot the doctor... And the injured Curly carried him..."CURLY!" All of a sudden, he sat straight up, ignoring the pain piercing through his nerves. He felt his hips for his spur, but it was gone. He then felt something, a warm and comforting feeling overwhelming his chest.Quote looked around the unfamiliar area. He was in a bed, covered with a blanket; he seemed to be in a rather small, and... colorful laboratory. There were several chairs lying about, along with a giant, round wooden table with documents scattered all about, consisting of blueprints and sketches of robots. Spanners, screwdrivers and screws
Cave Story 1: Peace in automonsWARNING: DO NOT VIEW IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED CAVE STORY YET! IN FACT, DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T GOTTEN AT LEAST THE 'BEST' OUT OF THE THREE ENDINGS!"Huzzah!"Barlog couldn't resist expressing his happiness of escaping from the devastating island. He landed on the meadows of the surface of the earth, causing Quote to almost fall out from him."Woah, that was fun!" Curly exclaimed in excitement. She hopped down and ran across the meadows. "This is... Beautiful!" She then looked at the clear blue sky, which was strikingly different from the clouds encountered during the time Balrog carried them out of Hell.Quote silently stared at her as her silky yellow hair danced along with her."Hey, robot!" Barlog nudged Quote, and Quote jumped in surprise. "You're Quote, right?"The latter nodded silently."Why don't you join her too?" Barlog asked.Quote continued staring at the hyperactive blonde android, and before sitting on the meadows, ignoring Balrog. He watched as Curly was desperatel
Cave Story 25: back?"Curly... Curly, wake up!"Balrog's voice echoed as he shook the android. Curly lazily stretched herself and woke up.What came to view was not the corridor of the 3rd flooor, but instead it was the view of the sunny meadows way back where they landed on the island."What... is this...?" she could not believe her eyes, as she scanned around the ripe green grass and the clear blue sky."We built a good place over here!" Balrog exclaimed. Curly realised his wounds were gona; he was clean and good as new."I thought we were in... We were captured by humans..." Curly stuttered. "Quote... Where's Quote!?""Humans? Are you kidding me?" laughed Balrog. "You were sleeping here all along!"Curly blinked with confusion, as Balrog continued, "Quote's just picking flowers. I have no idea why though."Just then, Curly noticed Quote carrying a large bundle of flowers as he trudged back."Hey, Quote!" Balrog waved. Curly was still startled, unable to accept the fact that she was back in the meadows.
Cave Story 9: BrunetteCurly slowly limped into the corridors while carrying the sleeping Quote. She knew the doctor she was looking for was located in one of the doors, but which one...? She sensed that if she had barged into the wrong door, she could be torn into pieces. She cautiously tip toed, despite the intense pain at her limbs; she made sure no one discovered her, or Quote, or they'll be doomed.Just then, she heard a door creak open, and she almost jumped; she frantically looked around and raised her Nemesis to prepare for the worst, but there was no one.Puzzled, she looked around, at the doors, wondering where it could come from... Just then, something struck in her head...'Right!' a program of thought ran through her head. "Her door was open when I was unconscious!"Immediately, she almost ran, looking left and right, at the available doors, with at least a little opening in one of them. In a moment's time, she had spotted one; the area looked like the same shade of light grey from the figment o
Cave Story 11: nightmareWARNING: POSSIBLE MUSHINESS AHEAD. PROCEED WITH CAUTION."Balrog..."She heard someone, calling out that name.It was familiar... but who was it?Curly wandered around in the darkness; she couldn't even see herself, let alone her shadow. Everything was dead silent; she had to quicken her footsteps to hear, to know that she's still in the strange abyss. And then, a tiny flash of light, just a dot, sparked her hopes. She rushed towards it, running and running; it seemed to get closer, and closer, and closer...Finally, the hole was within her reach. She peeked through the strange hole...Quote, Quote was in pieces, his arms and limbs all scattered apart. His eyes had been taken apart, and his face was destroyed, melted into a cool, white liquid.Curly felt her whole body going limp, and spotted Balrog; no, wait. His eyes, his eyes were red.He was smiling, and in his arms were her head.As she stared at her own head, the wires all sizzling about from the gaping hole of her neck, t
Cave Story 23: Surprised"What in the blazes...?" Mark stared at the two androids, and his freed experiment. He recognised the them as the two security guards as before."You two little...!" Mark screamed. "Both of you are gonna pay for this!"Curly was at a loss of what to do, as she stared at Mark. She considered shooting him, but she did not want to kill anymore; it would make her no better than the killer robots.Quote glanced at Mark, and looked at Curly. He then took out the Spur and shot at the armless doctor.Mark quickly dodged out of the way, but the spur got his leg, and he winced in pain."What are you doing, Quote!?" Curly yelled. Quote, as usual, did not reply, and raised his gun again.Fortunately, Mark managed to drag his way under his desk, and rummaged through his drawers for an emergancy weapon.Curly grabbed the Spur, and yanked it out of his hand. "Don't do it!"Quote glared at her, and tried to snatch it back, but Curly hid it away from him.All of a sudden, Quote noticed a green glow fro
